Maplewood Halloween Parade (Sponsored by the AZ Team) Dress up for Trick or Treating in Maplewood Village. The streets are closed to traffic and there will be a costume contest with prizes and music. Wednesday, October 31 3:00-5:00pm. Downtown Maplewood, NJ

Safe Howl-o-Ween– Enjoy trick-or-treating at the Turtleback Zoo with candy stations throughout the grounds. Wednesday, October 31 4:00-8:00pm in West Orange

The Wizard of OzTravel down the Yellow Brick Road and beyond with Dorothy, Toto and their friends the Cowardly Lion, Tin Man and Scarecrow in this lavish production, featuring breathtaking special effects, dazzling choreography and classic songs. Hypnotic Hijinks for HopeCan Laughter Help Cure Cancer? Join award winning comedy hypnotist, HypnoMarc Marshall, as he brings his special form of entertainment to the CDC Theatre, 78 Winans Ave, Cranford in support of BCRF and Breast Cancer research. Saturday, November 3 8:00pm

RWJBarnabas Health’s ‘Running with the Devils 5k Run and Family Fun Walk’ – The 2nd Annual RWJBarnabas Health “Running with the Devils 5K Run and Family Fun Walk,” in partnership with the New Jersey Devils, will take place on Saturday, November 3 at Essex County’s South Mountain Recreation Complex. The 5K race, which will take place on a USATF Certified Course through the picturesque South Mountain Reservation, will begin at 9:30am – followed immediately by the family fun walk.

Sunday Fundays at the Farmers Market: Apple Pie ContestBring your best apple pie to the Summit Farmers Market by 10:45AM on November 4. Judging begins at 11:00am. Pies will be judged on their crust, filling, and appearance. After the pies are judged, the public will be able to sample them! Pies must be made from scratch; canned ingredients or pre-made crusts are allowed. Entrants must bring a copy of their recipe to the contest with them. Vacation Day Workshops at the Morris Museum – Enjoy two days of fun at the Museum! Visit the galleries, make a fun craft each day and enjoy science demonstrations in BASF’s Kids’ Lab. Then learn all about everything that is bold and beautiful about brass in the new exhibition–Trumpets, Weird, and Wonderful: Treasures from the National Music Museum. For Kids 5-12.
