Hot Town Showdown

Do you think South Orange deserves the designation of Hot Town? I do! If you do too, vote for South Orange in The Hot Town Showdown hosted by New Jersey Monthly and presented by Kings Food Markets. This contest pits 16 hot New Jersey towns against each other in a bracket-style competition that started on August 29th. Go to New Jersey Monthly to place your vote. Each time you vote, you can become eligible to win one of three $50 gift certificates from Kings Food Markets.

The towns included in the Hot Town Showdown were selected by New Jersey Monthly based on factors such as rising home prices and how many days a home is offered for sale on the market. Real estate professionals also gave their input and local buzz was considered.

A total of 16 towns make up the field beginning August 29, and each week throughout September, New Jersey Monthly will cut the field in half based on the votes that are received. A new round will begin each Tuesday until the championship round which begins September 19.

Current town pairings for the week beginning August 29 are:

Hillsdale/Oradell                          Mountainside/New Providence

Leonia/Weehawken                    Branchburg/Hillsborough

Denville/Morris Twp.                   Cranbury/Holmdel

Glen Ridge/South Orange         Haddonfield/Medford

Check the New Jersey Monthly Hot Town Showdown website each week to see which towns were eliminated and which towns were paired up for the new round. Get out there and vote for New Jersey’s hottest town: South Orange!
