Maplewood Art Walk
Here’s some inside advice: If you are thinking of moving to Maplewood, NJ from Brooklyn, Manhattan, Hudson County or from out of state, Maplewood’s spring and summer events and festivals are a great way to check out the town and see if it’s a fit for you. These events can give you a true window into what the town is all about.
We kicked off the event season with one of the states biggest and best green fairs, Maplewood GreenDay. The town pride’s itself on its environmental consciousness and GreenDay is the ultimate manifestation of this effort.

Coming up next weekend is North Jersey Pride which is also held in Maplewood. Known as a very gay friendly place this event is totally grass roots and is geared toward families and adults as well. http://www.northjerseypride.org/pride-week/
Maplewood’s 4th of July is so old-school and classic, with pie eating contests, the bike parade, circus and other activities going on in the park all day topped off by our awesome fireworks show. One of my favorite events is scheduled for the 13th and 14th of July this year, Maplewoodstock, a weekend long live music festival with vendors and food of course, is also held in the park.
