The Glen Ridge Public School District: The award winning public school system serves students in prekindergarten through 12th grade. Four schools make up the district:

  • Forest Avenue School (preK-2)
  • Linden Avenue School (preK-2)
  • Ridgewood Avenue Elementary School (3-6)
  • Glen Ridge High School (7-12)

The two preK-2 elementary schools embrace each student's unique abilities with differentiated instruction, and strong communication between parents and teachers is encouraged.

When the students graduate to the Ridgewood Avenue school, they bring the skills they have learned in their prior school to use as building blocks for their future academic success and personal growth. Differentiated instruction continues in the Ridgewood School.

The middle school program, which takes  place within the high school facility, is student-centered and meets the unique needs of this age group.

Finally, the high school environment fosters and promotes high academic achievement through individual growth and development. Students can choose from among 23 Advanced Placement courses, while 37 clubs and 20 varsity sports round out their high school experience. New Jersey Monthly Magazine ranked the Glen Ridge High School #4 in 2010 and #12 in 2012 among the "Top Public High Schools" in New Jersey.
