Allison Ziefert of Keller Williams Mid-Town Direct is a proud Cum Laude sponsor of the 2017 Columbia High School Scholarship Fund Annual Cocktail Reception. The cocktail reception is scheduled for Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 7:00 to 10:00pm at The Maplewood Club in Maplewood, NJ.
The Columbia High School Scholarship fund was established in 1923 and offers need-based financial assistance to graduates of Columbia High School for any post-secondary education, including graduate school. More than $1.1 million dollars have been awarded to more than 1,000 students, many of whom are the first in their family to attend college.
More than 90 years after the first endowment was established by Ida Grace Alexander, a teacher, and her family, the Columbia High School Scholarship Fund is now the largest provider of need-based financial assistance in the South Orange/Maplewood community. The scholarship fund is governed by an independent board of community volunteers.
Two major fundraisers are held during the year: the Stay At Home fundraiser where recipients of a mailing are invited to stay home and enjoy a cup of tea using an enclosed tea bag while they donate, and the Annual Cocktail Reception in September. At the annual cocktail party, which is right around the corner, donors and scholarship recipients mingle and enjoy a relaxing evening out.
It’s not too late to donate. Just go to the Columbia High School Scholarship Fund website to make your donation. Donations using Paypal, debit cards or major credit cards are accepted. You can also join the Columbia High School Scholarship Fund mailing list to keep abreast of all future events.
