Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Allison Ziefert Real Estate Group is proud to announce their podium sponsorship of Listen To Your Mother. Listen To Your Mother (LTYM) is a national series of live readings by local writers in celebration of motherhood. Created by blogger Ann Imig, LTYM draws its inspiration from the creative work of mothers who publish online. This year is the eighth and final season of this incredible series, and shows will take place in 33 cities across the country, including our own Maplewood, NJ.
One of the requirements for producing a LTYM show is to partner with a local charity that supports women and families in need. To date, more than $114,000 has been donated to local charities. This year, the North Jersey show is partnering with Real House Inc., a local organization that provides substance abuse treatment for NJ women who need shelter, intensive outpatient treatment or halfway house lodging. Ten percent of all local ticket sales will go to support this organization.
LTYM will take place on Mother’s Day weekend, May 13, 2017, at The Woodland in Maplewood with performances at 2 and 5pm. Tickets can be purchased here. Auditions for the cast took place in February and 14 talented storytellers were selected. This extremely talented cast will celebrate motherhood with true, personal stories told live, on stage.
